CLASS FAQS

Not in the adult class. We believe in training in the clothes you would most likely fight in. Some guys wear sweat pants, some wear shorts, some wear jeans, and others wear fight gear.

Besides, I would prefer to see you spend money on something that is useful to your training (like equipment).

Little Dragons do require a gi due to the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Not to mention it saves on their clothes!

WHAT WILL I NEED TO BUY?

Within the first two or three months adults will need to buy a mouthpiece, cup, fingerless gloves, and headgear. You do not have to purchase it from me, and it is yours to keep.. Buy it anywhere you like, and take your time.

This is very basic equipment I believe every martial artist should own anyway.

WILL I RECEIVE A BELT?

Not in the adult class. We are not concerned with belts or rank. Performance and effectiveness are our greatest concerns.

We do offer belts in the Little Dragons class. It helps teach children goals and how to reach them.

WHAT ARE YOUR CLASSES LIKE?

Because this is one of the most frequent questions I receive, I have posted some information written by a some of my students (at the end of this page).

We are very informal. Everyone in our class genuinely wants you to progress into a better fighter. The better you become, the harder we must push ourselves to keep up with you. Our focus is on learning, and testing what we have learned in a combative atmosphere. Word of warning,,, We look nothing like a traditional martial arts class!
